Kent Police will host a three-day teen academy June 25-27 for students interested in law enforcement or just want to learn about the job of an officer.
Students will get an in-depth look at many specialty assignments officers can have, how to prepare to work in law enforcement and more.
The academy is open to 2024-2025 school year sophomores, juniors, seniors and 2024 graduates.
The academy will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, June 25-27 at the Kent Police and Fire Training Center, 24523 116th Ave. SE.
Registration and approval is required for attendance. Applications are due Wednesday, May 29. For more information contact sjudd@kentwa.gov or call 253-856-5883. Information also is available on the Kent Police Community Education website.
