Regional law enforcement officials gathered on Friday in Kent for a domestic violence awareness rally.
State Sen. Tracey Eide, D-Federal Way, as well as local law enforcement officials attended the rally on the steps of the Norm Maleng Regional Justice Center.
Washington State Patrol trooper Michael Mong and King County Sheriff’s Office detective Christopher Johnson each received awards from the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office domestic violence unit for actions they took to fight domestic violence.
The Auburn Domestic Violence Task Force sponsored the event. The group joined law enforcement, domestic violence advocates, treatment providers, survivors and residents to rally against domestic violence.
