Kent city road crews reopened Southeast 256th Street between 146th Avenue Southeast and 151st Place Southeast Tuesday afternoon after closing the street several hours for emergency repairs.
Water over the roadway caused a large pothole that crews needed to repair immediately, according to city officials.
The city on Monday afternoon closed 148th Avenue Southeast between Southeast 256th Street and 146 Place Southeast on the East Hill because of water over the roadway. The road will remain closed until water subsides and the road is cleared for travel.
