Kent residents can purchase rain barrels and compost bins at a city-sponsored Recycled Products Sale from 9 a.m. until the items run out March 26 at Russell Road Park, 24400 Russell Road.
The event is only open to city of Kent residents who must show proof of residency.
Rain barrels collect water from your roof downspouts to use for watering gardens. The 55-gallon barrels will be available for $35.
Compost bins can be used to start backyard composting to save resources and money as it turns yard waste into rich soil. The recycled-plastic bins will be sold for $25, with a limit of two per household.
