The Rotary Club of Kent is gearing up for its big event of the year: the annual Escapades Dinner and Charity Auction.
Billed as Kent’s oldest and largest annual charity auction, this year’s event takes place May 22 at the Kent ShoWare Center.
Tickets are $65 per person, and the admission includes dinner and the opportunity to participate in multiple auction formats, from silent to live. Auctions start at 5 p.m., and dinner is served at 7 p.m.
Funds raised from the event go to support Kent Rotary’s many community activities, including those involving youths and schools.
There’s a vast number of items up for bid in this year’s event.
Everything from summer nights at Crystal Mountain Heights, to a simulator flight, a day with King County Search Dogs, a Whidbey Island weekend getaway – even the chance to “Rent a Rotarian.”

The annual Escapades Dinner and Auction is the only fundraising event of the Kent Rotary Club. Organizers are hoping to raise more than $100,000 for club projects.
