The Kent School District hosted its second annual back-to-school pep rally for staff on Tuesday at French Field.
Kent School Board President Karen DeBruler, Superintendent Calvin J. Watts and Paul Bogel, president of the Kent Schools Foundation, spoke during the event.
Each school and department had the chance to perform a skit or give a brief presentation.
Cheerleaders from the district’s four traditional high schools and a staff pep band were on hand to pump up the crowd.
Classes begin in Kent on Thursday.
