Kent Severe Weather Shelter to open at Holy Spirit Church

Nightly from Thursday, Jan. 11 through Sunday, Jan. 14

With temperatures predicted to drop below freezing, the Kent Severe Weather Shelter will open nightly Thursday, Jan. 11 through Sunday, Jan. 14 downtown at Holy Spirit Church, 318 Third Ave. S.

The shelter will be open 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. each night.

Details:

• Check-in from 9-10 p.m. is preferred

• Doors will close once capacity is reached

• Guests must stay in their assigned locations

• Bottled water and prepackaged snacks will be available

• No reentry upon exit

• Guests must vacate shelter by 7 a.m. each morning
