The AMC Theater at Kent Station will be hosting a “Sensory Friendly Films” showing of “Bolt” at 10 a.m. Saturday.
The showings are part of a nationwide event now in its third month and sponsored by AMC and the Autism Society of America. The screenings are expected to continue monthly at the theater.
During the special showings, the volume will be turned down and the lights turned up in the theater to provide a more comfortable setting for families. In addition, AMC will wave its “Silence is Golden” rule during the showings and audience members will be allowed to get up, dance, sing, shout or talk during the movie.
Families will also be able to bring their own gluten-free, casein-free snacks and no previews or commercials will be shown before the movie.
Small children who do not understand movie etiquette are also welcome at the showing.
