The Kent Sunrise Rotary is gearing up for its third annual Oktoberfest set for Saturday, Oct. 12, from noon until 8 p.m., under the tents at the Red Barn, 206 Railroad Ave. N. in downtown Kent.
Fifty percent of the proceeds from the event will support returning veterans and at-risk youth.
“Along with Oktoberfest grub and grog, there’s plenty of entertainment planned,” said Cindi Cameron, event chair. “We are so excited to have Manuela Horn returning for her third visit. Manuela, also known as the “Austrian Amazon,” is a yodeling, dancing, acting comedic force of nature. It’s impossible not to get into her wacky sing-a-longs. She loves pulling members of the audience into her act, and they love it, too.”
Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door and include a stein with your first beer or wine. Visit www.OktoberfestKent.com to purchase tickets and donate.
The Kent Sunrise Rotary Club is part of Rotary International, a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace worldwide.
