Golfers will compete for as much as $15,000 in prizes at the 18th annual Riverbend Amateur Aug. 13-14 in Kent.
A full field of 224 players are expected for the 36 holes of medal play at the Riverbend Golf Complex along West Meeker Street.
Players will be divided into four flights with prizes being awarded, both gross and net, to a minimum top 20 finishers in each flight. The format will be a double tee start at the No. 1 and No. 10 tees.
The tournament is open to all players who have a USGA established and verifiable handicap index of 19.6 or less as of Aug. 5.
The entry fee is $170. The fee covers two days of golf, range balls, tee prizes, two meals and plenty of other surprises. The paid entry and refund deadline is Aug. 10. Golfers are encouraged to sign up soon as the event sells out every year.
