Kent woman knocks female lover and son-in-law of lover to ground | Police Blotter

Kent Police arrested a woman for investigation of two counts of fourth-degree assault after she reportedly pushed over another woman (her significant other) and the son-in-law of her lover.

Kent Police arrested a woman for investigation of two counts of fourth-degree assault after she reportedly pushed over another woman (her significant other) and the son-in-law of her lover.

Officers responded to a dispute at about 2:40 a.m. Feb. 1 at an apartment in the 300 block of Ridgeview Drive, according to the police report.

A man told police that his mother-in-law’s significant other had assaulted them after the two women got into an argument. When the man stepped between the two women, the woman kept pursuing his mother-in-law and shoved the man and his mother-in-law to the ground. She continued to approach the two with her fists flying.

The man then grabbed a stick from the floor and struck the woman in the head in self defense. The woman then left the apartment. She later returned to the apartment when officers were there investigating the incident.

The man told officers he had lived with the couple for a few months.

Malicious mischief

Officers arrested a man for investigation of third-degree malicious mischief after he allegedly let the air out of a vehicle’s tires at about 1:35 a.m. Jan. 31 in the 22300 block of 110th Place Southeast.

A woman called 911 to report a feud with a man who was upset because she would not date him, according to the police report.

The woman told officers they had never dated and she refused to date the man. But he sent her a message via Twitter that she felt threatened her. Later in the night she heard a hissing sound coming from near her mother’s car parked in front of the house.

She told police she figured it was the same man who was trying to date her because she saw a white car leave the scene similar to his car and also thought she saw him near her mother’s car.

Police received an anonymous 911 call about two hours later about a possible car prowler sitting in a white Cadillac in the 22400 block of 110th Place Southeast.

An officer talked to the man who claimed he had been visiting a friend in the area but could not provide a name or address of the friend. The man denied he had done anything to the car without air in its tires.

Drug offense

Police arrested a man for investigation of possession of marijuana after they pulled him over at about 3:01 p.m. Jan. 31 in the 1300 block of West Meeker Street.

An officer noticed that the car had been sold recently after running the license plate, according to the police report.

The driver had no driver’s license, no proof of insurance and no current registration. A check of the man through the Department of Licensing records showed that man had an identification card only, a third-degree driving while license suspended, multiple failure to appear in court violations, unpaid tickets and warrants for driving while license suspended out of Grant County and Renton.

He also admitted he had marijuana in a plastic bag and a smoking pipe. Officers found both items on him. The man claimed he had a card as a medical marijuana provider for a woman, but officers noted he did not have the proper paperwork so they figured the marijuana must be for personal use.

In addition to the marijuana charge, officers arrested the man for investigation of possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license suspended and failure to transfer a vehicle license 45 days after purchase.

Police noted that the man had 0.6 grams of marijuana in his possession.

Malicious mischief

A witness called 911 after reportedly seeing a man’s clothes scattered along a road and a woman carrying two knives on Feb. 3 in the 6300 block of South 236th Street.

Officers arrested a woman for investigation of third-degree malicious mischief after she allegedly slashed a backpack full of clothes belonging to her husband, according to the police report.

The husband told officers his wife had simply walked over to him to kiss him.

The wife told police they had an argument in their apartment and she stabbed his backpack, which contained clothes of her husband. The man then left the unit carrying the backpack. She denied taking any knives outside of the apartment.

Officers noted that the backpack had stab marks.
