Rochelle Adams, of Kent, has been named editor-in-chief of the Washington State University student newspaper in Pullman.
Adams, a senior English major, will oversee the Daily Evergreen for the spring 2012 semester, according to a WSU media release.
She is the daughter of Sharon and Robert Adams. She graduated in 2008 from Thomas Jefferson High School in the Federal Way School District.
Since fall 2009, Adams has worked as a reporter, copy editor, assistant news editor and news editor for the Daily Evergreen.
She previously attended Highline Community College in Des Moines, where she worked on the student newspaper and the literary magazine.
Adams was chosen by the WSU Student Publications Board, which is made up of students, faculty and staff. It helps direct operational policies at the Daily Evergreen and the Chinook student yearbook.
