Come learn more about how KentHOPE Women & Children’s Day Center is growing, what has happened in the first year of operation and get better equipped to help those who are experiencing homelessness.
The volunteer training workshop goes from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 31 at River of Life Fellowship church, 10615 S.E. 216th St.
Women and Children’s Day Center supervisor Merri O’Brien will lead an overview of serving those who are homeless, with a focus on the challenges of mental health and domestic violence.
There will also be a question and answer time at the end. The workshop is open to all current volunteers, potential volunteers, and those who are curious to learn more about homelessness in the Kent area.

The KentHOPE’s Women and Children’s Day Center is at 9009 Canyon Dr., and is open 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily.
