Kentlake High School students went home early Tuesday after a wind storm knocked out power to the school.
Classes were suspended at 10 a.m., according to the Kent School District Web site.
District buses arrived early to take students home.
The district also cancelled all after-school activities and athletic practices or games scheduled at Kentlake, 21401 S.E. Falcon Way.
The Kent-Meridian at Kentlake boys basketball games scheduled for Tuesday are going to be rescheduled to a later date. The swimming meet between Kentlake and Kentwood at the Kent-Meridian pool also will be rescheduled because of transportations concerns about getting the students to the pool.
The Kentlake girls basketball games Tuesday at Kent-Meridian will be played as scheduled.
