Julie Wise was confirmed as deputy director of King County Elections on Monday by the King County Council.

Wise has served in the role since October and helped oversee three elections.

“I appointed Julie to this position last year because of her breadth of experience in election administration and her leadership skills. I have worked with Julie for 10 years and her hands-on experience positioned her well for this role,” said Sherril Huff, King County Elections director, in a media release.

Wise, a nationally and state-certified elections administrator, has worked at King County Elections for 13 years. Prior to serving as the deputy director, she managed the Voter Services Team, handling the voter registration process and maintaining the voter registration database for 1.2 million registered voters.
