Residents can tell the King County Council what they think priorities should be for the 2015-16 county budget at a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, in Courtroom 3F at the Maleng Regional Justice Center, 401 Fourth Ave. N., in downtown Kent.
Fifth people addressed the council at earlier budget hearings this month in Fall City and Bellevue.
Committee members heard from speakers about budget priorities that included funding for economic development, assistance for public defense, continuing funds for programs helping survivors of domestic violence assistance and sexual assault, public health clinics and services for youthful offenders.
All members of the County Council serve on the Budget Committee during the review of the proposed budget.
