Candidate filing is just a few weeks away. King County Elections is hosting a complimentary two-hour workshop to discuss information related to filing for office in King County.
No reservations are needed and members of the public, candidates, campaign managers, treasurers and staff are invited to attend the King County Election 2010 Candidate Workshop. The workshop takes place 2-4 p.m. May 19, at the King County Elections office, 9010 East Marginal Way S., Tukwila 98108.
Following the workshop, from 4-5 p.m., elections staff will provide a 1-hour informational session explaining how ballots are designed.
Elections staff will cover the following topics: filing for office in King County, voters’ pamphlet information, campaign sign regulations, and basic public disclosure requirements.
To appear on the fall ballot, all candidates must file a declaration of candidacy online, in person or by mail no later than Friday, June 11 by 4:30 p.m. For more information about candidate filing, please visit www.kingcounty.gov/elections/referenceresources/candidatefiling.aspx
