The Washington State Patrol is looking for a suspect who reportedly carjacked a 74-year-old woman Saturday night, Nov. 12 along Interstate 5 in Kent.
At about 8:15 p.m. near South 288th Street, a northbound I-5 driver in a white sedan struck a vehicle in the HOV lane and lost control, veering across all lanes causing a four-car collision, according to the State Patrol.
The suspect exited the white sedan, which had been stolen in Lakewood, and contacted the driver of a 2002 Subaru Legacy involved in the crash. The woman, 74, told troopers she unlocked the door because she thought the man was approaching to help her, according to the State Patrol.
Instead, the man physically pulled the woman from her vehicle and pushed her towards traffic. The man then entered her vehicle and fled the scene.
The Subaru was found abandoned Sunday afternoon, Nov. 13 in Federal Way, according to the State Patrol.
