A 58-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle in Federal Way early Tuesday morning. Police later found the vehicle crashed into a nearby business and the driver fled the scene.
Just after midnight March 1, officers responded to reports of a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision near the 900 block of South 348th Street, said Cmdr. Kurt Schwan of Federal Way Police.
Officers found an unresponsive man with significant injuries from having been struck by a vehicle, Schwan said.
First responders attempted life-saving efforts, but the man died at the scene.
The vehicle involved in the collision was found crashed into a nearby business, Schwan said. The car was abandoned and the driver has not been located.
Members of Federal Way’s Major Accident Investigation Team are investigating. Anyone with information about this incident should contact the Federal Way Police Department at 253-835-2121.
