An undisclosed dispute that angered a Seattle man reportedly led to a 39-year-old Tukwila man being shot to death on Sunday at a house in the 500 block of Fourth Avenue South.

Kent Police arrested a 27-year-old Seattle man in connection with the shooting at about 1:50 a.m.

According to probable cause documents filed this week by police with the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, officers arrested Quang Ngoc Dinh for investigation of shooting the Tukwila man at least once in the head during a dispute.

Dinh told detectives he had an argument with the man inside the home, went out to his car to get a handgun and then went to the back of the house with the plan to shoot the man because he was angry with him. The report didn’t indicate what upset Dinh or what the two man had argued about.

Dinh said he saw the man standing inside the home through an open back door. He said a woman stood next to the man. He said he fired three shots before the man closed the door.

The woman showed up at a nearby Kent fire station with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

When police arrived at the shooting scene, they found Dinh standing outside the home and arrested him. During a search, they found a handgun on his waistband and two fully loaded additional ammunition magazines in his pocket. He had blood on his shirt and pants.

Prosecutors are expected to file charges against Dinh on Thursday. He is in custody in the county jail in Seattle with bail set at $1 million.

As of Tuesday, the identification of the victim had yet to be released by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
