A fundraising event is planned this week for Messiah’s Hands and Feet Outreach and its founder Marc Elmore, who is ill with cancer.
The event is a parking lot sale and silent auction and is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. beginning Thursday and continuing through Friday and Saturday at New Beginning Church at 214 Washington Ave. N., Kent.
A daily meal will be served catered by Down Home Catering.
The sale will feature office furniture, baby items, toys, clothing, a 1976 Datsun B210 and many more items.
Elmore and the outreach work to gather food for food banks, help those in need with shelter and medical needs and supply blankets, clothing and other necessities to the homeless.
