King County Metro (Metro) and Sound Transit (ST) are conducting a public outreach campaign to gather feedback from transit riders about a proposed expansion of the permit parking program at some Park & Ride facilities.
While permit parking is already available for carpoolers who drive together to select Park & Rides, Metro and ST are considering offering paid permits to solo drivers as well.
“Metro and Sound Transit are continuing to work to find ways to make transit more accessible and convenient for their riders,” said King County Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer. “The public’s feedback is essential in helping to develop user-friendly programs and I hope that transit riders in South King County will make their voices heard regarding this proposal.”
There are two ways to provide Metro with feedback regarding this proposal. An online survey is open through March 31 at bit.ly/2G9UJzs.
Metro is also hosting drop-in informational sessions including the following in the South Sound region:
• Federal Way Library, 34200 1st Way S, Federal Way, WA, Sunday, March 11, 3:30-5:30 p.m.
• Puyallup Library, 324 S Meridian, Puyallup, WA, Tuesday, March 27, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
