A Kent Fire investigator is looking into the cause of a house fire which took place at 1:12 p.m. Dec. 31, in the 23000 block of 112th Place Southeast on Kent’s East Hill.
Kent firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames in the attached garage of the two-story, single-family residence.
No smoke or flames were able to get into the living space of the house. All five residents were able to get out safely and there were no reports of any injuries. King County Medic One also responded to the scene but were not needed.
Because of the damage to the garage, electrical power to the home had to be disconnected by Puget Sound Energy. Relatives will be assisting the family until they are able to move back into their own home.
No cause or damage estimate is available at this time.
