Kent neighborhoods participated in the annual National Night Out celebration on Tuesday.
The event is an opportunity for resident to meet and greet their neighbors and take a stand against crime.
Tuesday marked the 32rd year for the national event, which is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness and generate support and participation in anti-crime programs such as Neighborhood Block Watch.
“National Night Out also strengthens neighborhood spirit and sends a message to criminals that neighborhoods are united and fighting back,” said Kent Police Chief Ken Thomas.
