Kent School District graduates and their families filled the corridors, seats and plaza at the ShoWare Center last Saturday for high school commencement ceremonies.
It’s a day when high school seniors enter the next phase of their life, whether it be on to a two- or four-year college, joining the work force or entering military service.
Regardless of their futures, speakers at graduations urged their peers to go on and make a tangible difference in the a world beset with problems, ranging from poverty to environmental catastrophes. While the problems are manifold, every new class has the potential to do great things, they said.
