A car crash on State Route 167 killed 45-year-old Kent resident Jennifer Delisle on the morning of Saturday, Sept. 3, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Delisle was driving a car with two passengers westbound on State Route 18 onto the ramp to southbound State Route 167 and lost control of the vehicle while merging onto SR 167, according to the Washington State Patrol.
After losing control, the vehicle Delisle was driving rotated until it was perpendicular to the flow of traffic. At that point, a second vehicle in the second lane hit Delisle’s car on the driver’s side. Her car came to rest in the middle two lanes, and the second vehicle came to rest in the left lane.
The driver and passenger of the second vehicle were uninjured in the crash and both were wearing seatbelts, according to the Washington State Patrol. Delisle, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead on the scene.
The two passengers in Delisle’s car — a 19-year-old and a juvenile — were both transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of their injuries, according to the Washington State Patrol.
