Kent’s annual Fall Recycling Collection Event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, at the soon-to-be-renamed Hogan Park at Russell Road (Russell Road Park), 24400 Russell Road.

High School Nation gives Kentwood a boost

High School Nation descended on Kentwood High School last week. Along with exposing students to different media and art technologies, the organization, sponsored by several major American corporations, donated $10,000 in the form of equipment and gift cards to the stores.

Green River Valley residents meet with county leaders, staff on flood protection plans

King County Flood Control District officials met with Green River Valley residents at the Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent on Tuesday for the second of two meetings where the public was able to review and comment on a variety of flood protection solutions for the lower Green River Valley.
