Scenic Hill Elementary visited Seattle Center Community College last week as part of the Kinder to College program.
Kent School District kindergarten students and their families are visiting colleges and universities around the Puget Sound so they learn about higher education. These visits are funded by grants and donations from local and national businesses that recognize the importance of students setting their sights on higher education early in their lives.
Kindergarten students from Scenic Hill, parent chaperones, and staff members, visited Seattle Central Community College on April 18. The students, wearing Kinder to College t-shirts, toured the campus and visited the photography and apparel design studios and watched college students working on projects.
They also saw the college’s culinary program including the fine dining restaurant serving as a classroom for future chefs.
