CenterPoint Office Park recently unveiled a new outdoor fitness path and stretching station amenity to its campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and can food drive to benefit the Kent Food Bank.

Employees representing 11 companies from the eight on-campus buildings participated by walking the quarter- and half-mile paths, with prizes awarded to individuals who walked the farthest.

Each time a participant completed a lap, food items were raised for the food bank. More than 60 miles were walked and, through participation and business donations, more than 250 can food items were collected.

“What a great way to help our community while having fun and celebrating an active lifestyle,” said Rob Samuels with CenterPoint management. “This amenity provides employees a chance to break away during the day to refresh and recharge.”

Also in attendance was the State Secretary of Health, John Wiesman.

“Health is more than an amenity, it is essential to a thriving, productive workforce,” he said. “I am so pleased to see this project come to life for all the employees in the complex. Next time I am at the Kent offices of the Department of Health, I plan on having a walking meeting or two. Thanks for helping to create a place people can stay active, even at work.”

CenterPoint Office Park has undergone a transformation over the last year and a half with renovations to all eight of the buildings. Rebranding of some individual properties, upgrades to the office environments, in addition to site landscaping, signage and amenities, has improved the visibility of the project.

“This is the premier destination in the Southend office market,” Samuels said. “CenterPoint offers superior office space at a better value when compared to the Seattle, Bellevue and Tacoma central business districts, saving businesses thousands of dollars every year. And amenities like the fitness path increase employee happiness and improve their production.”

CenterPoint Office Park is at 20819 72nd Ave. S., No. 110, Kent.
