As part of Kent’s partnership with Regional Animal Services of King County, starting this weekend, door-to-door marketers will be canvassing neighborhoods to sell licenses for dogs and cats, at their human’s door step. The hours will be: Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Weekdays from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Regional Animal Services of King County sells pet licenses door-to-door to educate the community about the benefits of licensing pets, for convenience, and to help pet owners avoid a fine of $125 for altered unlicensed pets and $250 for unaltered unlicensed pets. The grace period to avoid fines ends October 1.
For the public’s safety, the door-to-door marketers have official King County photo identification and wear bright blue polo shirts or windbreakers or later this year, winter jackets with the pet-licensing logo.
