Kent Police continue to investigating a shooting that left a man dead Friday night.
Officials have not identified the victim, other than to say he’s a 37-year-old Kent resident.
Police are offering few details because of the ongoing investigation, of which details may hold clues to the crime.
“There’s nothing new (to report),” Kent police Commander Jarod Kasner said Monday afternoon. “We’re still working the information we gained and following up on leads.”
Shortly before 9 p.m. Friday, police responded to a report of a shooting in the 10800 block of Southeast 240th Street. The man was found outdoors, between buildings near apartment complexes.
There are no suspects, but witnesses have provided information to police, Kasner said.
Police don’t believe the incident is related to two shootings earlier this month at a Kent homeless camp.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Kent Police at 253-856-5800.
