Kent Police are seeking a man who reportedly robbed the Home Street Bank, 505 W. Harrison St., in downtown Kent at about 11:30 a.m. May 26.
As of Friday, police reported they were on the lookout for a man described as Native American, in his early to late 20s, standing about 5 feet, 7 inches tall with a thin build. He had long black hair in a pony tail, according to a Kent Police media release. Several witnesses told police it appeared the man was wearing a wig.
The man, who did not display a weapon, also wore dark sunglasses, a surgical mask, a white, long-sleeved shirt and black pants. He carried a briefcase and reportedly fled on foot after the heist.
Police officers and search dogs responded to the robbery within minutes, but could not locate him. The heist could be connected to a May 15 bank robbery in Covington by a man with a similar description to the Kent incident, police said.
