Kent is experiencing a network outage impacting multiple business systems Tuesday morning, Feb. 7, according to a city of Kent statement.
An early morning crash of a vehicle into a utility pole on West James Street near Second Avenue caused the outage, according to the city.
As of 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, the estimated time of restoration has been set for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Puget Sound Energy (PSE). The outage began at 2:22 a.m. and 218 customers are currently impacted, according to PSE.
The city of Kent’s utility billing portal and phone lines, online Parks registration system and more are impacted.
The city Parks Department canceled its ShoWalk at the accesso ShoWare Center due to the outage.
PSE has a crew on-site for extensive repair work at the location.
