Rainier Youth Choirs announces several upcoming celebrations and auditions.
RYC auditions are Nov. 9. Children in fourth grade and up are encouraged to try out.
Auditions are low-stress where candidates sing a short song like “Happy Birthday” and do some fun echoing exercises. For more details, contact RYC at 253-347-0180 or ryc@rainierchoralarts.org.
On Nov. 30, RYC helps launch the Argosy Christmas Ship Festival during Greet the Season at Lake Union Park. The family fun event runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with RYC singing aboard the historic steamship Virginia V in the afternoon.
RYC also will perform on the Argosy Christmas Ship Dec. 18, departing from the Des Moines dock. Reserve your spot at www.argosycruises.com.
Rainier Youth Choirs will present their “Home for the Holidays” concert 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 19800 108th Ave. SE, Kent.

RYC is a nonprofit organization with no religious affiliation dedicated to providing affordable choral music education and performance experience to young singers.
