Jockeys Eliska Kubinova, Juan Gutierrez and David Martin were all reported in stable condition following a three-horse spill in the sixth race Saturday night at Emerald Downs.

Kubinova, Gutierrez and Martin were all transported to Valley Medical Center in Renton and reported in stable condition by a hospital spokesperson.

Signorina Ermenia, ridden by Kubinova, was leading the one-mile race when the 4-year-old filly went wrong and fell nearing the quarter-mile pole. Current Sea Xpress and I’z a Sweet Ride both collided with the fallen horse, sending Gutierrez and Martin hurdling to the ground.

The 7th and 8th races were cancelled because of the accident, but Emerald Downs Racetrack and Casino President Phil Ziegler said racing would resume Sunday with first post 2 p.m.

Gutierrez, 47, is third in the standings with 37 wins and No. 2 all-time with 1,320 wins at Emerald Downs. Kubinova, 28, has 12 wins at the current meet, and Martin, 24, is the meet’s No. 2 apprentice with 11 wins.
