One man was injured in a three-car accident at about 2 a.m. Thursday along southbound Interstate 5 near South 178th Street.
Paramedics transported a 47-year-old SeaTac man with undisclosed injuries to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after his 2008 Nissan Frontier pickup struck a box truck that had rolled on its side, according to the Washington State Patrol. The Nissan pickup then rolled down an embankment and came to rest in the northbound lanes of I-5.
The driver of the box truck had lost control and struck the right side of the jersey barrier before rolling on its side. A second vehicle sideswiped the truck.
No one else was injured in the accident.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Drugs or alcohol were not involved, according to the State Patrol.
