At 2:15 p.m. Friday, U.S. Senator Patty Murray will join with local leaders and members of the community to discuss the $44 million secured for emergency dam repair measures to protect homes, businesses, families, and economic interests in the Green River Valley.
Besides Murray, expected attendees are: King County Executive Dow Constantine, U.S.Congressman Jim McDermott, Kent Mayor Suzette Cooke, Auburn Mayor Pete Lewis, Renton Mayor Denis Law; Tukwila Mayor Jim Haggerton, and at least one representative of the region’s business community. The event is scheduled to take place at Russell Road Park, 24100 Russell Road, Kent.
