As part of a statewide outreach effort centered on the state’s major budget shortfall, South King County Sens. Tracey J. Eide, Claudia Kauffman and Karen Keiser will hold two town hall meetings, gathering input and suggestions from their constituents.
Eide, from Federal Way, is majority floor leader. Keiser, from Kent, chairs the Senate Health Care Committee, and Kauffman, also from Kent, is vice chair of the Senate Education & Early Learning Committee.
Each of the senators wants to talk with constituents about what South King County – and statewide – priorities should be in an environment where deep cuts to state services are looming.
The town hall events will take place at the following times and locations:
• Federal Way: 3-5 p.m. Friday
Federal Way City Hall, 33325 8th Ave. S.
• Kent: 10 a.m. to noon Saturday
Kent City Hall, 220 4th Ave S.
