A boyfriend reportedly punched his girlfriend and threw sesame seeds at her during a domestic dispute at about 9 p.m. July 4 at a home in the 900 block of East Smith Street.
Kent Police arrested the 31-year-old man for investigation of fourth-degree assault.
The woman, 38, told officers that she and the man had an argument in the bedroom. He then reportedly punched her in the face and threw sesame seeds at her. Officers noted in the report that the woman had scratches on her mouth as well as seeds stuck on her face, chest and in her right ear.
The boyfriend told police he had not done anything to harm his girlfriend. He admitted he had been drinking alcohol.
The girlfriend told officers she has been dating the man for about 12 years and that they have a 5-year-old son together.
