Divers from the King County Sheriff’s Office searched for a skull Monday in the Green River near Ravensdale but did not locate a skull or other bones and will not resume the search.
Divers conducted the search, east of Kent and Covington, after the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about 8:30 p.m. Sunday from three people reporting they saw a skull submerged in the Green River, according to a Sheriff’s Office media release.
Two men ages 22 and 25, and a woman, 21, told deputies they knew it was a human skull because of skulls they had seen “on TV and in the movies.”
The three pointed out to deputies where they saw the skull. A deputy waded out into the river Sunday but didn’t find anything.
Divers and detectives met at the Green River site Monday with the three people who reported seeing the skull. The divers still did not find a skull.
