The Washington Dental Service Foundation SmileMobile, which travels the state offering examination to children who might not otherwise have access to dental care, will be in Kent on May 5-16.
The SmileMobile, a brightly painted 38-foot dental clinic on wheels, is hard to miss when it rolls into town. Sponsored by the Delta Dental of Washington and in partnership with Seattle Children’s Hospital, the SmileMobile provides dental care to children from low-income families.
The SmileMobile will provide examinations from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, May 5, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 6 and 7. Followup treatment will be provided through Friday, May 16, at Kent Elementary School, 24700 64th Ave. S.
Children birth through high school with limited access to dental care can be scheduled by calling Washington Dental Service Foundation at 1-888-286-9105.
Medicaid (ProviderOne) and sliding scale fee is accepted as reimbursement for services.
The SmileMobile is operated by Washington Dental Service Foundation, a nonprofit organization created and partially funded by Delta Dental of Washington.
The SmileMobile has examined and treated more than 30,000 youngsters in communities throughout Washington State.
