Sounder trains to run Sunday for Sounders FC opening day match

Sounders FC fans can kick off the 2017 season by hopping aboard Sound Transit’s Sounder trains to the opening day match against New York Red Bulls on Sunday, March 19.

A Stadium-bound train from the south will depart Lakewood at 1:15 p.m., South Tacoma at 1:20 p.m., Puyallup at 1:41 p.m., Sumner at 1:46 p.m., Auburn at 1:55 p.m., Kent at 2:02 p.m. and Tukwila at 2:09 p.m., before arriving in at King Street Station at 2:28 p.m. The return train departs King Street Station 35 minutes after the match.

A complete schedule of Sounder service to select Sounders FC matches this season is available at soundtransit.org/soundersfc.

Special Sounder service is in addition to regular Link light rail service to and from CenturyLink Field. Link runs every 10 minutes on Sunday and serves 14 stations in downtown Seattle, SODO, Beacon Hill, Rainier Valley, Tukwila and SeaTac. Link’s Stadium and International District stations are a short walk from CenturyLink Field.

Many ST Express buses also drop off passengers near the stadium. Link and ST Express bus schedules are available at soundtransit.org/schedule.
