The Washington State Patrol is seeking the public’s help to find a hit-and-run driver that reportedly struck a vehicle in Kent and injured two people at about 2 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 27.
A 911 call reported a collision northbound on Highway 167 just south of South 212th Street, according to the State Patrol.
Troopers discovered a vehicle off the road on fire. The three occupants were out of the vehicle. A passenger suffered a broken arm and the driver sustained a cut arm.
Witnesses said that a white sedan traveling at a high rate of speed struck the vehicle causing it to leave the roadway, strike a tree and catch fire. The white sedan fled the scene. The driver is being sought for felony hit and run, according to the State Patrol.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the sedan and its driver to contact Detective Ruth Medeiros at Ruth.Medeiros@wsp.wa.gov.
