Stefano survives again: Kent’s Stefano Langone advances to top seven on “American Idol”

Kent's Stefano Langone survived the bottom three again Thursday night on "American Idol."

Kent’s Stefano Langone survived the bottom three again Thursday night on “American Idol.”

Langone, 22, was in the bottom three for the third time in the last four weeks after votes by viewers. But the voters eliminated Paul McDonald.

That moves Langone, a former Kentwood High School and Bellevue College student, into the top seven next week when voters will eliminate another contestant.

Langone posted a message Friday on his Twitter account SLangoneAI10.

“Good morning,” Langone tweeted. “It’s another beautiful day in La! Feeling great today, ready to do work! Much love to you guys for holding me in there!”

Unlike last week when many were upset that Pia Toscano was eliminated rather than Langone, few criticized getting rid of McDonald.

Langone delivered a rendition of “End of the Road” by Boyz II Men on the Wednesday night show on Fox.

“Ummm…. you think we shut up some of the critics tonight,” Langone tweeted.

The Kent singer definitely wanted to put last week behind him and thanked his supporters.

“All the love and support after last week has helped more then you know,” he tweeted. “Love you so much always! Yours truly!”

Langone already has earned a spot on the “American Idol” summer tour. Tour dates have yet to be announced.
