The Seattle Thunderbirds and ShoWare Center are partnering to raise funds for the Twisp River Fallen Firefighters Fund.
The T-Birds will donate 100 percent of all preseason game ticket revenue on Wednesday, Sept. 9, between noon and midnight, on the T-Birds website and between noon and 5 p.m. at the ShoWare Center box office, 625 W. James St., to the fund. This fund is administered by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
The T-Birds’ preseason game against the Victoria Royals is on Friday, Sept. 18 at the ShoWare Center. Face-off is 7:05 p.m.
Fans may purchase a minimum of four tickets to the preseason game for $20. Additional tickets above the minimum purchase will be priced at $5 a ticket.
ShoWare Center is waiving all ticket service charges for the preseason game, further maximizing the amount of money to be donated to the fund.
“We hope that by donating all ticket revenue during the 12-hour window on Sept. 9 we can help ease some of the burden facing the families of these brave firefighters,” said T-Birds Vice President Colin Campbell.
The T-Birds open the regular season in Vancouver against the Giants at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25. The home opener is 7:05 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, against the Prince George Cougars.
