Seattle right wing Justin Hickman signed a three-year entry level contract with the Boston Bruins today, Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell announced.
“It is great to see Justin get his chance to move on to professional hockey,” Farwell said. “He was a great guy for us and showed improvement every year and I look forward to watching him develop as a pro.”
Hickman’s WHL career came to an in January when it was determined he needed season-ending shoulder surgery. This season Hickman had 28 points on nine goals and 19 assists with 40 penalty minutes.
In five seasons with the T-Birds, Hickman played 285 games and had 55 goals and 77 assists for 132 points with 466 penalty minutes. Hickman finishes his T-Bird career in 11th place on the T-Birds all time games played list.
