The Seattle Thunderbirds and Portland Winterhawks open up the WHL regular season tonight in the Rose City.
Both teams are expecting near-capacity crowds as the longtime rivals meet up for a home-and-home series tonight in Portland and at the ShoWare Center on Saturday night at 7:05.
The rivals expect large crowds to see the defending Western Conference champion Winterhawks and the Thunderbirds open their seasons.
Tickets are still available for the Thunderbirds Opener on Saturday and can be purchased online at www.seattlethunderbirds.com. The ShoWare Center Box Office will be open beginning at 10 a.m. through game time on Saturday.
