Teens and their families are invited to the city of Kent Parks Community Center, 11000 S.E. 264th St., for an evening of indoor and outdoor games, face painting, art projects, healthy snacks and prizes.
The free event runs from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 at the city’s center next to the Kent Phoenix Academy.
The evening is part of Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play, an eighth annual event to encourage children and their parents to turn off the television, shut down the computer, put down the cellphone and go outside to play.
