Theatre Battery – a local production company aiming to make theater accessible to everyone – will host a Kent mayoral candidate forum following its matinee show on Sunday, Aug. 13.
The forum will feature Kent City Councilmembers Jim Berrios and Dana Ralph, who are vying to replace Suzette Cooke – who decided not seek another four-year term as mayor.
Anyone can attend the forum, which follows the 2 p.m production of “We are Pusssy Riot or Everything is P.R.”
The show and forum take place in a converted theater space at Kent Station, 438 Ramsay Way, Suite 103. The play is free to attend and tickets can be reserved at theatrebattery.strangertickets.com.
Forum topics include the candidates’ participation in local politics, how to increase participation in the local community and the duties of youth in local politics.
Logan Ellis, Theatre Battery’s founder and a Kent-Meridian High School graduate will moderate the forum.
