Kent Police and Valley SWAT arrested a 36-year-old man on the East Hill early Monday morning wanted for a felony warrant.
At about 5 a.m., officers responded to a house in the 26600 block of 105th Place Southeast, according to an email from Kent Police Cmdr. Robert Hollis. The man had a $200,000 warrant for kidnapping/assault/order violation with an armed and dangerous caution.
“On-duty SWAT responded and after PA announcements, the suspect came out and was taken into custody without incident,” said Hollis, who added SWAT was on scene for about 90 minutes.
The owner of the house was renting a room to the man and his girlfriend, Hollis said. The girlfriend was the petitioner in the no-contact order.
Valley SWAT includes officers from several South King County cities.
